Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThings have never really settled down in Minneapolis where activists have been following ICE agents for weeks. However, things seemed to be getting a little more chaotic today, leading to several scuffles. It started with confrontations at a Speedway gas station where a group of agents had stopped for some snacks. [Some NSFW language in the clips below.]

Activists who had been following them swarmed the gas station:

🚨Protestors mob Commander Bovino and dump a bag of chips on his head and shoulders.
Multiple minor clashes ensued. 20-30 cars have been following Bovino’s convoy for roughly 2 hours.

Someone who works at the Speedway came out and said the store would not serve ICE agents and told them to leave.
— Oliya Scootercaster 🛴 (@ScooterCasterNY) January 21, 2026We've seen this kind of thing before when a hotel canceled reservations for ICE agents. That didn't end well for the hotel. Already, people are asking if 7-Eleven, which owns Speedway, supports this kind of thing.
Newsweek reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and 7-Eleven, which operates Speedway, for additional information and comment.
The Speedway location on Portland Avenue declined to provide additional information when contacted by Newsweek.
Speedway gas stations are not franchised, they are all corporate. So I suspect the guy seen in the video above is about to get his 2-week notice and the company will be issuing a statement of apology. But we'll see.
There were some scuffles on the edge of the gas station property and at least on protester got pepper sprayed:
— Oliya Scootercaster 🛴 (@ScooterCasterNY) January 21, 2026When the agents tried to leave the gas station they found some of their vehicles surrounded with protesters. This led to them using tear gas and scuffling with some individuals. Note one of the activists shouting, "You going to smile on your execution day?!" Progressives have a vivid fantasy life.
MINNEAPOLIS CHAOS: A @FoxNews photographer captures a tense moment in the streets of Minneapolis today. It happened when BP Chief Bovino and his convoy were attempting to leave a gas station & found themselves surrounded by protesters who apparently tried to block federal… pic.twitter.com/bUQcMthKzF
— Matt Finn (@MattFinnFNC) January 21, 2026In a clip from another angle, there's a guy screaming "You'll hang for this!" It might even be the same guy. Hard to tell. But by far the most common shout is "Nazi!"
— Oliya Scootercaster 🛴 (@ScooterCasterNY) January 21, 2026That seems to be all for now, but it's not even dark yet. Finally, the Trump administration seems to be on the verge of sending in troops.
The Pentagon has ordered several hundred active-duty military police troops from Fort Bragg, N.C., to prepare for a possible deployment to Minnesota in the event that President Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, according to a senior U.S. official.
The alert, which was described as precautionary, comes on top of a similar order issued recently to 1,500 infantry soldiers from the Army’s 11th Airborne Division in Alaska and as many as 200 Texas National Guard troops.
Maybe the activists want that to happen. It would help justify their own extremism. Maybe that's why they're pushing so hard.
