His model for why is worth carrying. There are different lines of development in a person: relational, emotional, spiritual. They are interconnected, but they are not the same thing. Just as everything is genuinely one and you remain a distinct individual. It is not one or the other. Oneness doesn't cancel. None of which makes awakening irrelevant. When perception changes, deep emotional change often follows, and the possibility of relating better genuinely opens. But possibility is not guarantee. Almost everyone eventually has to own what remains of their confusion and conflict. He includes himself without hesitation, describing parts of him that took years to mature and parts he hopes will keep maturing for the rest of his life. Awakening bestows perfection on nobody.
