Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway“Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng on Tuesday was stunned by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) response to Donald Trump after the president labeled her a “traitor” in the wake of her push to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Greene, whose big fallout with Trump over the scandal preceded the House’s near-unanimous vote to force the release of the files on Tuesday, remarked on her ardent support of the president before emphasizing that a “traitor” is an American who “serves foreign countries and themselves.”
Chieng appeared stunned, “OK, what the fuck is happening with Marjorie Taylor Greene?”
He continued, “Did she get the ‘Severance’ surgery? Was she bit by a radioactive Rachel Maddow? Like, she’s getting so liberal that a month from now she’s going to be performing on NPR’s Tiny Desk.”
Chieng proceeded to take issue with Greene suggesting that Trump serves foreign countries and argued that the president thinks about “America First” before a clip played of Trump rolling out the “red carpet” for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House.
“OK, look, sometimes America First means Saudi Arabia first,” Chieng quipped.
He then tossed to a clip of Trump — while seated by MBS in the Oval Office — attacking ABC News’ Mary Bruce over her question about the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which the CIA found had been ordered by the crown prince.
“Yeah, hey, hey, shut up! A little etiquette, please!” Chieng began.
“This man is a guest in our country, why are you asking him about the journalist he bone-sawed? It’s like no one has manners anymore!”
