Clancy cultists shouted at Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz on Friday after the judge declared a mistrial.

Court reconvened on Friday morning in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial on day seven of deliberations after jurors told the judge all week that they could not come to a unanimous decision.

On Thursday, Clancy’s defense team requested to remove one juror for not following the rules on reasonable doubt but Judge William Sullivan denied the motion.

The judge on Thursday gave the jury information on reasonable doubt and ordered them to resume deliberations.

On Friday, Clancy’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington accused the one male ‘holdout’ of lying under oath, claiming the juror promised to follow the law and is refusing to apply the reasonable doubt standard.

The one lone male juror held the line and the judge said he will declare a mistrial but gave Clancy’s defense team one hour to appeal to the Massachusetts Supreme Court.

After a quick Zoom hearing, the Massachusetts Supreme Court denied defense attorney Kevin Reddington’s appeal.

Judge Sullivan then declared a mistrial.

Plymouth County prosecutors has already informed the court that they will be retrying the case.

DA Timothy Cruz held a presser outside of the court after the judge declared a mistrial and the Clancy supporters were shouting at him.

“You only cared when the kids were dead! Why don’t you care about the mother?!” a woman shouted at the District Attorney.
