Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySocial media users joked on Sunday that Donald Trump’s infamous sports curse had struck once again after Spain beat Argentina in the World Cup final.
The president, speaking to Fox Sports before the match, avoided making a concrete prediction on who would win.
But he did say Argentina captain Lionel Messi, whom he welcomed to the White House with his Inter Miami teammates in March, would be “hard to bet against.”
“I won’t pick sides, I just think it’s very hard to bet against Messi, he’s great,” said Trump.

But Trump was wrong.
Spain beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time thanks to Ferran Torres’ 105th-minute winner, securing the country’s second World Cup title after its first triumph in 2010.
The result prompted critics to joke online that Trump had once again jinxed the team he appeared to back.
