Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney recently extolled the supposed virtues of the late Senator Lindsey Graham by saying that he ”‘stood resolutely in defence of democracy and freedom,’ particularly with Ukraine.”(1)

If “freedom and democracy” means a country determines its own present and future free from outside/foreign interference, then Carney’s statement is particularly disingenuous.
It is Washington’s interference in Ukraine since before 2014 that led to the coup d’etat against the elected government, that entrenched Russophobia, and spawned what is now a (nazi) Banderite-controlled unelected puppet dictatorship ostensibly headed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
All of this should have shattered any illusions about “freedom and democracy” for Ukraine, which serves U.S. empire in its proxy war against Russia.
Former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Cezary Miller (2001-2004) and EU politician (2019-2024) has complained that “as long as Banderites rule in Ukraine, nothing will change.”(2) So much for “freedom and democracy.”
James Matlock, former U.S Ambassador to the Soviet Union (1987-1991), in discussing the “fake doctrine” of “freedom and democracy” and the military doctrine of “full spectrum dominance” argues that “the idea that an outside power particularly using economic sanctions or military force can create democracy in another country is simply absurd. It can’t happen.”
In reference to the current power structures in Ukraine he says,
“in Ukraine that were not historically part of Ukraine are not or are not historically part of the Russian Empire. They were in the Austro-Hungarian Empire are now virtually controlled uh by uh neo-Nazis.”
The West’s criminal aggressions globally provide ample evidence of the war lies of “freedom and democracy.” In fact this “false doctrine” fuels wars, dictatorships, international lawlessness, and terrorism.
