We are in luck that it seems Halloween decor manufacturers have finally taken on the gothic design instead of sparkles, clowns, and modern horror movie themes. There is something classy and Victorian Era about the gothic Halloween design. Let's talk about the elements.

Some great elements of gothic style are "Dark Shadows," Edgar Allan Poe, Victorian Era, Romanesque architecture, cathedral windows, heavy curtains, rich colors like burgundy, midnight blue, forest green, black. wrought iron, gilded metal finishes, heavy ornate mirrors, tapestries.

Hurricane lamps, candles, candelabras. These are consistent with the Victorian Era. Modern day additions that could fit include tiny twinkle lights, cannister lights for uplighting walls, projection lights.
