Bystanders rescue a Prospect Park, PA woman trapped under a Volkswagen Beetle (Screenshot via Fox)A woman in Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, was rescued by locals earlier this week after crashing on her e-bike and becoming pinned underneath a Volkswagen Beetle.
According to ABC 7, the 44-year-old became trapped underneath the vehicle on Monday before neighbors and workers responded to her screams and came to the rescue.
“Once I heard her scream, ‘Help,’ I just ran outside and tried to lift up the car by myself, and then other neighbors came out,” one woman, Amelia Cannon, said.
“All I saw were the lady’s legs from underneath the car,” Christine Vollmer, who called 911 as others lifted the car, said.
Video from the Prospect Park police department shows the heroic rescue unfolding at the scene.

The woman was hospitalized with injuries to her chest but was in stable condition following treatment.
“No special equipment, no training, they just come over and use brute force to lift the vehicle off of the victim,” Prospect Park Police Chief Dave Madonna said, praising the bystanders.
Madonna further decried the lack of safety regulations on e-bikes in Pennsylvania, saying, “How many more tragedies do we have to see before some type of action is taken?”
FedEx driver Karl Wise said the group “picked up the Volkswagen Beetle on its side and drug the woman out, and I told her, ‘Don’t move.'”
