Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFox News host Jesse Watters on Wednesday shared what critics called a “profoundly dumb” theory about President Donald Trump and his detractors, claiming those who oppose Trump “never” call him “dumb” because they supposedly know he isn’t.
Trump delivered a rambling speech on Wednesday at the 2026 World Economic Forum in Switzerland, referring to Greenland as “Iceland,” claiming Europeans call him “daddy,” and telling his Swiss audience that they would all be speaking German if it weren’t for the U.S.
German is the most common national language of Switzerland.
Watters shared clips of some of the latest Trump criticism with his viewers, including Gov. Andy Beshear (D-Ky.) calling the speech “dangerous” and Rep. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) likening Trump to a “4-year-old spoiled brat” for some of his latest antics and hostilities.
“Is Trump a 4-year-old brat or an aging, mentally ill dictator? You gotta pick a lane,” Watters said after playing the various clips, adding: “Notice what they never call Trump: Dumb. Because they know he’s smart, and that’s what scares them the most.”
Critics on social media were quick to inform Watters in no uncertain terms that he’s wrong.
“Literally 95% of the people I know call him dumb as a box of rocks,” one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter, with another person commenting: “You never call trump ‘dumb’ in the same way you never call water ‘wet.’ It just goes without saying.”
“People literally call him ‘fucking moron’ daily,” a third user argued, with a fourth person suggesting: “Literally everyone who is not a monosyllabic sycophant calls Donald Trump dumb, ignorant, stupid, moronic, etc…”
Trump appeared to justify his ongoing quest to acquire or forcibly annex Greenland by arguing in his speech that no country “other than the U.S.” has a right to do so — because Denmark wasn’t able to defend its territory against Nazi Germany during World War II.
He also scolded Minnesota residents for protesting the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement presence there, claiming his administration is “helping Minnesota so much, but they don’t appreciate it.”
Social media critics have since been busily excoriating both Trump and Watters.
