“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Michigan’s next Senator,” wrote political operative Abby Ronson.
But it wasn’t the text that caught most people by surprise. It was the all-too-flattering image she posted, which was flagged on X with a “Made with AI” tag.
X users quickly spotted the enhancements and matched them up to the real image:
At least three Democratic lawmakers mocked Rogers by posting their own obviously altered images:
State Sen. Mallory McMorrow (D), who is running for the Democratic nomination, fired back:
Rogers didn’t react to the message from Ronson, but seemed to get into the spirit by sharing a different AI-enhanced version of himself supposedly entering a pro wrestling match:
