Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayHouse Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is raising eyebrows for an exchange he had with Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. Madeleine Dean where he seems to agree with her criticism about President Donald Trump.
Video taken Wednesday shows Dean explaining to Johnson that Trump proved he was unfit to be president after his speech earlier this week before the nation’s top military leaders where he said, among other things, that he may use the Armed Forces to fight “the enemy within.”
After Dean told the House speaker point blank that “the president is unhinged. He is unwell,” Johnson didn’t appear to disagree, instead attempting some whataboutism.
“A lot of folks on your side are too,” he said, adding, “I don’t control him.”
Dean fired back, “Oh my god, please. That performance in front of the generals?”
Johnson denied seeing the video, so Dean informed him it was “so dangerous” and explained how it’s going to make America less safe.
“Our allies are looking elsewhere. Our enemies are laughing,” she said. “You have a president who is unwell.”
Dean: The president is unhinged
Johnson: A lot of folks on your side are too. I don’t control him
Dean: Oh my god, please. That performance in front of the generals.
Johnson: I didn’t see it.

The exchange went viral, in part because Johnson’s use of the word “too” seemed to imply agreement with Dean’s contention that Trump is “unhinged.”
Very interesting that Johnson's response to "the president is unhinged" isn't "how dare you, ma'am, the president is our greatest, most powerful patriot" but rather "a lot of folks on your side are too" https://t.co/iNkF6UGswa

God bless the hot mics. 😊
"A lot of folks on your side are *as well*" - @SpeakerJohnson just out loud and on camera admitted that Trump is unwell, how is they not bigger news?
"A lot of folks on your side are too."
Where I come from, that's an admission from one of the most obsequious bootlickers Trump has that the president is unhinged and unwell. https://t.co/mru4qc8hNw

Johnson didn’t address his seeming agreement with Dean’s “Trump is unhinged” comment when CNN asked about their exchange a few hours later.
“I’m the speaker of the House, so I represent Republicans and Democrats in that capacity, and I always hear complaints and concerns from members and I always stop and hear that, and I did that for Madeleine Dean. I respect her as an individual. We disagree on every policy matter.”
“I tried to bring her back to the real issue,” he added. “The fight tonight is not about social media posts. The fight is about whether they’re going to keep the government open for the American people.”
