Netflix has sparked a national uproar after using its website to trash “Gone With The Wind,” which is universally regarded as one of the greatest movies ever made.

As TGP readers know, “Gone with the Wind” is a 1939 epic historical romantic film set during the 1800s. The movie showcases the ups and downs of Scarlett O’Hara’s life, played by Vivien Leigh, in the years leading up to, during, and after the American Civil War.

“Gone with the Wind” won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It is also the highest-grossing film of all time when adjusted for inflation.

But instead of highlighting the impeccable acting, vision, and writing that have made “Gone With The Wind” an enduring masterpiece, Netflix whipped out the race card in its summary of the film.

“A 1939 Civil War epic known for its racism,” the description reads. “To read more about Black lives in America, search ‘Black Lives Matter.”

While “Gone With The Wind” is currently unavailable to stream on Netflix in the United States, the above summary is very much real.

For years, the radical left has tried to smear “Gone With The Wind” as a racist piece of work that romanticizes the antebellum South, and condones the brutality of slavery.

Now, Netflix has joined the woke mob.

Americans were incensed upon discovering this.

🇺🇸 INSANE: This is the Netflix description for Gone with the Wind:

Gone With The Wind will be the only Hollywood movie still watched in 1000 years. It’s still the most popular movie of all time. The average American saw it in theaters more than once. And unlike Star Wars or LoTR or Avatar, it’s about our history. It’s the American epic. https://t.co/udnHxXL0Lb

Modern Hollywood hates classics like gone with the wind because they know they can never make anything this good. pic.twitter.com/pA2l2LhXmP

Gone with the Wind is a masterpiece of literature and cinema. It’s about the irreconcilability of the old world that birthed western values and the new world birthed by those values, which is why Rhett and Scarlett can’t stay together for any substantial period of time. https://t.co/CBUjrd54cs

Holy hell, @netflix, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You reduce a masterpiece in cinematic history to… racism? Are you insane? If you hate movies so much maybe you should watch one to calm down. I suggest “Gone with the Wind.” https://t.co/f1PNDwmGye
