“My idea for the last night was to do the Epstein reveal,” said the comedian in a recent appearance on the “Jann Arden Podcast” that was flagged by YouTuber Graeme O’Neil over the weekend.

“And they said that they were certain that could not happen. And so I said, ‘Well, then I’m going to do it myself and just put it out on our [own].’”

While the segment never aired on ABC, O’Donnell took to social media weeks later to share a clip of her meeting with the women that also shows her and the group — all of whom are wearing white — joining together to sing Helen Reddy’s feminist anthem “I Am Woman.”

“You are all heroes, and you’re going to change how the world deals with child sex abuse,” O’Donnell told the women in the clip.

She posted the clip Sept. 3, exactly one year after survivors spoke outside the U.S. Capitol to demand President Donald Trump’s administration release in their entirety its files on Epstein’s crimes.

HuffPost has reached out to representatives with ABC and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for comment.

O’Donnell captioned her clip by writing that she contacted the women after “corrupt” Attorney General Todd Blanche, the president’s ex-personal attorney, “implied that he did not believe men accused of sex abuse would be charged” following the Justice Department’s review of the files.

In July, a group of survivors slammed Blanche for protecting “the people who committed crimes against us” after the Justice Department released personal information and nude photographs of some survivors but redacted information about their abusers.

“Todd Blanche failed us. He failed victims everywhere. We deserve better. Our country deserves better,” O’Donnell wrote alongside the clip.

O’Donnell said the clip led her fans to believe she shot a “documentary” with Epstein survivors, noting that the video was instead shot in just a few hours.

She said she’s since been in talks to do individual videos on each of the women featured in the clip, adding that the women have told her that “no famous person has called to stand beside them” outside of her.
