Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySen. Jon Ossoff (R-Ga.) spoke in biblical terms as he denounced President Donald Trump as a “broken man” seated at the throne of a “ruined presidency.”
During a campaign event at a prominent Atlanta-area church on Sunday, Ossoff spoke about Trump’s reign of “misrule” as he likened him to “wicked kings” of scripture, condemning Trump’s shameless self-dealing, reckless foreign wars, election meddling and more from the pulpit of Divine Faith Ministries International.
“Each day his allies are fewer and even they no longer deny his corruption,” the senator said. “The obscene self-dealing while he plunges the nation deeper into reckless war, while the people pay more for everything and millions lose health coverage, while he rakes in billions and builds himself a ballroom.”
Now more “reviled than ever,” Ossoff said it’s clear the president lives in fear that “accountability is coming” and is searching for any way to deny the will of voters, especially in Georgia, where he was caught pressuring the secretary of state to commit election fraud in 2020.
Drawing parallels between Trump and the bible’s King Ahab, the senator told worshippers how a “reckless war,” not unlike Trump’s conflict with Iran and coterie of “yes-men,” ultimately led to his downfall.
While Ahab was abetted by a court of amoral nobles, Ossoff said Trump was being enabled by “wicked men in high office lie and corrupt the law,” and it was clear no one in the White House was willing to “dissuade this president from his delusions.”
While Ahab ruled with impunity and Trump appears to be trying to do the same, the senator told Georgians that in America, “the power of the presidency is nothing compared to the power of the people” as he called on them to fight back at the ballot box.
“If Donald Trump thinks Georgia voters will be deterred or intimidated from exercising their rights after all that was sacrificed to secure them, if he thinks in the year 2026 he’s going to come down here and silence the people of Georgia, he will be dealt his most resounding defeat yet,” Ossoff said.
