Tens of thousands of migrants, mostly young men, descended on Ceuta on Thursday, with shocking video showing people walking, swimming and scrambling over barriers into Spanish territory as Moroccan border guards appeared unable to stop them. The Times has the story:

On Friday it was estimated that up to 60,000 Moroccans had arrived in Ceuta in the past 24 hours, encouraged by a ruling from Spain’s supreme court that those who swam into the city could not immediately be turned back. …

Groups of young men were seen wandering the territory’s streets, looking for food and water. The beaches were covered in floats, rubber rings and discarded clothing.
