The Trump administration is launching Foundry School, a new program designed to prepare American students for careers in advanced manufacturing. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the initiative Thursday, partnering with eight universities to provide students with hands-on skills needed to design, build and operate advanced factories. Rubio says the program aims to ensure college students leave school with more than a degree—they leave with skills that can lead directly to high-paying, stable jobs. Officials say the initiative could help address a projected need for 3.8 million skilled manufacturing workers by 2033.
