Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Trump administration is launching a major interagency crackdown on fraud in the trucking industry, targeting CDL fraud, unauthorized employment, identity theft and violations that officials say threaten highway safety. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and members of the White House Fraud Task Force announced the effort in Detroit. Officials say 270 driving schools are being shut down, while more than 28,000 drivers have been removed following English proficiency failures and more than 30,000 licenses issued to foreign drivers have been canceled. Investigators reportedly found serious violations at trucking schools, including unlicensed instructors, unmonitored commercial vehicle training and schools allegedly issuing licenses to illegal aliens. The DOJ is also creating the Joint Task Force Crossroads of America, bringing together nine U.S. attorney’s offices across the Midwest to target trucking fraud and criminal networks operating along major freight corridors.
