Mya-Rose Craig launched her birdwatching blog BirdGirl at the age of 11 and wrote her first article for Resurgence & Ecologist aged 17.

She said: “Resurgence gave me the fantastic opportunity to interview Dame Jane Goodall – I screamed out of excitement. What has always struck me is the belief the team has had in me, in my writing, giving me the ability to retain my integrity.”

Satish Kumar, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday, is the founder of The Resurgence Trust, a UK registered educational charity that promotes an understanding of spirituality, environmental stewardship and peace, including through Resurgence & Ecologist magazine, its events centre in Hartland, North Devon, and The Ecologist online.

He has written numerous books, of which his latest is Peace is Possible (Bloomsbury, 2026), and through his work as global ambassador for the trust he carries its message to communities across the world.

He said: “We need to hold on to hope now more than ever before. The Resurgence Trust is a beacon of hope. The first issue of Resurgence was published in 1966 and ever since then we have shone a light for spiritual awareness, Indigenous wisdom, environmentalism, equality and peace."

James Sainsbury, chair of the trustees of The Resurgence Trust, said: “The 60th anniversary of Resurgence is a moment to celebrate everything we have achieved in the last six decades. We have remained steadfast in our values, providing a vital space and meeting place for a diversity of voices, all speaking for Nature and for humanity.”

One With The Earth will include talks, discussions, music and poetry. A three-course vegetarian fundraising dinner will be held in the evening in Wadham’s 400-year-old dining hall. The day event are sold out, but there are still tickets for evening meal available online
