A woman appeared to deliberately position her vehicle in front of federal immigration agents during active enforcement before refusing repeated instructions to move, according to a video shared on social media.

The footage begins with the woman warning the passengers inside her vehicle to prepare to record the encounter.

“Passengers, be ready to document anything,” she says.

She then describes a Ford Explorer sitting “nose-to-nose” with her vehicle and claims the people inside are eating grapes, honking their horn, and waving at her.

As the encounter continues, an agent approaches the vehicle and asks the woman to move.

The agent tells her that she pulled directly in front of his truck and is preventing him from leaving while officers are carrying out an operation.

“You pulled up in front of me. You’re impeding me from moving my truck,” the agent says. “We are doing an operation. You pulled up in front of me.”

Rather than immediately complying, the woman argues that she cannot move her vehicle and asks the agent how she is interfering with the operation.

The agent repeatedly instructs her to back up and warns that she could be arrested under 18 U.S.C. § 111 for impeding a federal law enforcement officer.

“Back up or you’re under arrest,” the agent tells her. “We’re not playing anymore.”

The woman then insists that the agent cannot arrest her.

“Oh, yes, I can,” the agent responds.

“No, you can’t,” she says.

“Try me,” the agent replies.

The woman responds, “Okay.”

The footage appears to show an activist intentionally placing her vehicle in a position that prevented the ICE agents from freely moving and then portraying herself as the victim when officers ordered her to clear the way.

There is a major difference between peacefully filming law enforcement from a safe distance and driving directly in front of federal agents during an active operation.

The video was shared on X by former “Republican” Congressman Joe Walsh, who used the confrontation to promote PAXIS, a new AI-powered app focused on encounters with ICE.

Walsh said the app is designed to provide “immigrants and citizens” with real-time guidance before, during, and after interactions with ICE agents.

The app tells users that recording, criticizing, questioning, and refusing consent are not, by themselves, violations of 18 U.S.C. § 111. It argues that the federal statute requires forcible assault, resistance, intimidation, or interference rather than standing nearby with a camera.

Its promotional message tells users to “FILM EVERYTHING.”

A fundraising campaign for the app has reportedly already raised more than $90,000.

Americans have every right to disagree with immigration policy, protest ICE, and record federal agents from a lawful location. They do not have the right to physically interfere with an active law enforcement operation and then act surprised when officers respond.

Deliberately antagonizing federal agents and refusing instructions can place officers, civilians, suspects, and bystanders in danger.
