Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway“Daily Show” correspondent Josh Johnson on Wednesday used the latest Jeffrey Epstein bombshell to highlight how the late convicted sex offender’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is allegedly being treated like “royalty” in prison.
Johnson weighed in on Maxwell’s move to a minimum-security prison camp in Texas in August after she told the Department of Justice that she “never witnessed” President Donald Trump “in any inappropriate setting in any way.”
“In the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman,” Maxwell said during the DOJ interview.
Johnson began, “She didn’t say, ‘Trump is innocent.’ All she said was, ‘I didn’t see him do anything’ — I also didn’t see him do anything, what do I get?”
Johnson argued that Maxwell’s treatment in prison is “truly insane” before pointing to a whistleblower’s allegations — as recently laid out by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) — that she had access to a service puppy.
“Do not give that dog to Ghislaine! That’s not what they meant when they said, ‘Take the dog to the groomer,’” said Johnson, whose quip caused the “Daily Show” audience to groan.
Johnson declared that while he doesn’t know what Maxwell has on Trump, “every detail that comes out makes him look more and more suspicious.”
“And if you thought this couldn’t look any worse, wait till you see the birthday card that Trump sent that dog,” quipped Johnson alongside a canine-themed parody of the president’s alleged birthday card to Epstein.
