Kaitlan Collins’ questions to Donald Trump about his controversial decision to waive sweeping new sanctions against Russia — and whether it was connected to Russia’s release this week of U.S. prisoner Stephen Hubbard — appeared to strike a nerve on Wednesday as the president lashed out at the CNN journalist.

“You don’t know anything, I mean, you’re fake news CNN,” Trump told Collins, as he defended holding off on the sanctions.

Trump, who has attacked Collins on multiple previous occasions, told her: “You don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re a dummy. You’re a low-IQ person. You’re a dummy, and you work for CNN.”

The White House shared the exchange on X. Trump “demolishes Fake News” Collins, it wrote, alongside a crying-with-laughter emoji.

Soon afterward, Trump similarly lashed out at ABC News White House correspondent Karen Travers when she pressed him on the same topic.

“Are you a stupid person? Who do you work for?” fumed Trump.

“ABC News,” replied Travers, prompting Trump to rail: “You’re a stupid person. And by the way, your network is the worst of all.”

The White House also shared that exchange on X, calling Travers “another Faker.”
