Jimmy Kimmel on Monday hit back at Donald Trump after the president attacked him during a recent 2026 midterm election rally in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Trump called the late-night host “a loser” and “crooked” after Kimmel mocked the empty seats that were visible at one of the president’s rallies.

Kimmel joked about how, of everything he has said about Trump, it was the crowd-size jab that riled him the most.

“Of all the things I said about him last week, of all the many moronic and criminal words and deeds I detailed, that’s what bothers him?” the host said. “Me pointing out the fact that his rallies have empty seats?”

Kimmel then doubled down.

“Well, in that case, let’s do it again,” he said, teeing up photographic evidence, adding: “There were many empty seats at the rally. So many empty seats. There were even empty seats at the rally where he complained about me saying he had empty seats at the rally.”
