Democratic strategist Julie Roginsky on Tuesday said Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former close ally of President Donald Trump and now-ousted U.S. ambassador to Greece, was asked to resign because she broke one of the most cardinal rules of “Trump World.”

Roginsky joined MS NOW after Guilfoyle resigned following allegations that she sold access to senior administration officials, making her case after fellow “On The Line” guest Eugene Daniels said Trump has only three rules: be loyal, be less famous and don’t be an embarrassment.

“I would add one more caveat to what Eugene said,” Roginsky teased. “There’s a fourth rule of Trump World, which is if you’re going to grift, you can’t grift without Trump being in on it. And she obviously was doing something in Greece that he was not aware of or in on.”

She continued, “And the reality of her life is that she’s going to come back here. I’m sure that, in exchange for keeping her mouth shut, she’s going to be allowed to make money off of proximity to her trading a little bit in the Trump family name. Not as much as she’d like to.”

Roginsky argued that Guilfoyle, who was previously engaged to Donald Trump Jr., was allowed to profit from that proximity a lot more at the time. She went on to wager that Guilfoyle won’t embarrass the family any further — in hopes of retaining a comfortable “path” forward.

Roginsky said, “She’s gonna be allowed to make a living, and that’s going to be the deal. And I don’t expect that we’re gonna hear anything from her that’s going to embarrass her. She’s not going to leak against this family, because she’s going to know that if she does, she’s out.”

Guilfoyle announced Monday that her ambassadorship “may be coming to an end,” less than an hour after the White House confirmed it asked her to resign following a Wall Street Journal report that she had asked a Trump donor for $100,000 to pay her American Express bill.

Guilfoyle called the allegations “false” and said she plans to “vigorously defend” her name.

“We’re not happy,” Trump said Monday after confirming he was “looking at” firing Guilfoyle. The MAGA leader has made a fortune while in the White House, but Roginsky argued he only allows those closest to him to partake.

“Only Donald Trump and people who are actually related to him, not the in-laws, but the kids, are allowed to do things like this, or people who do business with the kids, like the Witkoffs or the Kushners, obviously,” Roginsky said. “A lot of people, right? But not her.”

She continued, “Not her, because she wasn’t part of that tribe anymore. And once you’re out of the circle, you’re an ex, which means you’re disposable. And she did not get that memo.”

Roginsky then added, “She never understood that once she was out, she was being exiled to Greece.”
