‘I would say it’s massive. I have seen these cameras go off on vehicles in front of me when a double check of the speedo confirms I am not speeding and the vehicles in front are not pulling away from me so they can’t be either. What the bastards have started doing recently is to put up a random 40 limit out of nowhere which always just happens to be the gantry with the cameras on. Seen it many times and the coach drivers I mention it to have all noticed it. 

When they fine people they should be made to produce live date and time stamped video evidence of the signs on the gantry prior to the gantry with the cameras on and the camera gantry, and produce a valid calibration certificate for the accuracy of the cameras. They should also be forced to put up an end of speed limit sign which they very rarely do. I could go on and on – absolutely appalling organisation as I said. Then there is the non-motorway 20mph fines which all seem to be for doing 24mph. What’s the chances of that?’
