Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayFormer White House lawyer Ty Cobb, who served in Donald Trump’s first administration, offered a decidedly NSFW description Monday of what he believes the president is turning the White House into with his extensive remodeling of the property, from the construction of his controversial ballroom to the addition of gold throughout the building.
CNN’s Erin Burnett noted comments from Chief Justice John Roberts, who wrote that the White House is “an iconic American building whose symbolism and history are wrapped up in its architecture” in his dissent from the Supreme Court’s decision allowing Trump to continue construction of the ballroom.
Burnett suggested Roberts’ words were “somehow more profound” than simply a legal argument.
Cobb, now a fierce critic of his former boss, agreed.
“Yeah, very much so,” he said.
“I mean, it certainly touched me because, as somebody who had spent a lot of time in the White House and in or about the grounds, it was a beautiful setting and a historic setting,” Cobb continued.
Then came the zinger.
“It’s turning into, you know, some combination of a whorehouse and Las Vegas at this stage of the game with all the gold and paving of it,” he said. “So, it’s tragic what’s going on. But sadly, it’s going to continue, at least for the time being.”
