Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayKayleigh McEnany on Thursday said Donald Trump was “genuinely concerned” about Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s husband when he joked about the 2022 hammer attack that fractured Paul Pelosi’s skull.
That got fierce pushback on Fox News from fellow “Five” host Jessica Tarlov, who brought up the incident. (Watch the video below.)
To mark the California Democrat’s announcement that she would not seek reelection in 2026, McEnany recounted the former House speaker’s insults of Trump, including “domestic enemy” (after the Capitol siege fomented by the president) and the “the worst thing” on Earth.
“She was not an instrument of peace,” the former Trump press secretary concluded. “She was an instrument of division. And now, she gets to exit stage left.”
“Can I just say something quickly?” Tarlov, who generally provides Democratic counterpoint, asked. Jesse Watters granted the go-ahead. Tarlov revisited Trump’s comments on the campaign trail, even quoting him.
“September 2023,” Tarlov said. “Donald Trump, rallying the crowd. ’We’ll stand up to crazy Nancy Pelosi, who ruined San Francisco. How’s her husband doing? Anybody know?’”
“He was genuinely concerned, Jessica,” McEnany insisted.
“Kayleigh, come on,” Tarlov responded.
“Did he call her ‘the worst thing on planet Earth’?” McEnany responded.
“God is watching us,” Tarlov interjected.
“Her husband was attacked and got a hammer to the head,” Tarlov continued. “[Donald Trump Jr.] posts underwear and a hammer for a good Halloween costume, and Donald Trump running to be the commander in chief again.”
Watters cut her off.
“Well, Jessica, Charlie Kirk got shot and you guys cheered, so OK. At least Paul survived.”
Watters awkwardly pivoted to a gag he had obviously planned to spring. “So in honor of Nancy leaving,” he said. He then tore up papers to recall Pelosi’s on-air ripping of Trump’s 2020 State of the Union speech.
“I love it,” McEnany gushed.
McEnany, who frequently performed spin control for Trump’s lies, might wanna check the instant replay on the Trump incident in question. The crowd laughed. Trump smirked.

Trump sneers about Nancy Pelosi, whose husband was assaulted by a deranged MAGA: "How's her husband doing, anybody know?"
He adds that the wall around her house "didn't do a very good job." pic.twitter.com/dnxjXsoNAW
The president incidentally reacted to Pelosi’s pending retirement by calling her corrupt and evil.
