Longtime Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain offered up a piece of his mind about President Donald Trump.

And while the two might be practically neighbors in Florida, it seems McBrain couldn’t be further away in philosophy.

“I was actually invited to go and play golf with him,” McBrain told The Telegraph. “A friend of mine who’s a massive Republican said, ‘Oh, do you want to come and play golf with us? With the president.’ And I said, ‘You fucking what?’… and I just said, ‘No. No mate.’”

He added:

“I’m not politically inclined, although I must be because I have my thoughts about him. I’m not amused by the narcissism, and all this kerfuffle about the Epstein files and whatnot, and especially the debauched war that he’s put on Iran.”

It’s not just Trump that earned his wrath.

“This Pete Hegseth business, oh he’s going to be put in prison,” he said during an interview to promote his new memoir, “Hello Boys and Girls!”

When a publicist tried to steer McBrain back on topic, he got in one final dig.

“My last word on Trump and his bunch of cronies is, they should be put in jail,” he said.

McBrain ― who lives in Boca Raton, Florida ― was asked how close his place is to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

“Too fucking close, mate,” he said.

Boca is about a half-hour drive away.

McBrain suffered a stroke in 2023, which left him temporarily paralyzed on his right side. He was able to drum again after “intense therapy” but had to modify his signature style to complete Maiden’s 2023-2024 tour.

He retired from the road in 2024, but is still considered a member of the band, which will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next month.
