Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe family of late heavy metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne has shared the voicemail that President Donald Trump left for them after the Black Sabbath star died of a heart attack at his home in England in July.
The moment was striking given Ozzy’s very public past criticism of Trump.
It also prompted praise of the president from the Prince of Darkness’ wife, Sharon Osbourne.
On the latest episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, Sharon was talking about the “outpouring of love” the family had received following Ozzy’s death when son Jack Osbourne played a message from the president.
In the audio, Trump said:
“Hi Sharon, it’s Donald Trump and I just wanted to wish you the best and the family. Ozzy was amazing, he was an amazing guy. I met him a few times and I want to tell you he was unique in every way and talented. So I just wanted to wish you the best and it’s a tough thing. I know how close you were and whatever I can do. Take care of yourself. Say hello to the family. Thanks. Bye.”
As daughter Kelly Osbourne, whose poor choice of words during a 2015 slam of Trump came back to bite her, sat quietly, Jack said of the president: “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
Sharon Osbourne — who in 2019 condemned Trump for sharing a political video featuring Ozzy’s 1980 hit “Crazy Train” — then said:
“Listen, when it comes to politics, we know nobody comes out a winner. Whoever you like, there’s half of people are going to go like this. And now it’s more so than ever in history is it that people’s choice of which party, which politician, you can’t come out a winner.”

Referencing her 2010 appearance on Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” she claimed Trump “was just a great guy to talk to” and “always treated me with respect.”
“Listen, I’m not American. I can’t vote. I don’t want to vote. I don’t vote for anyone. I vote for no one,” she continued. “Never have, never will. But the thing is, all I know is he’s treated me with respect, your father with respect.”
Trump “wanted nothing from us, nothing,” she said. First lady Melania Trump was “the same” and “they have been great and for him to take his time to do that for us … because you know what? He doesn’t live in a bubble. He knows what’s going on in the streets. He knows what is going on.”
